Offline: what works
- Intercambio - language exchange in cafés: Spanish ↔ your language. Cheaper than school and you get a social circle fast. See Spanish.
- Coworking spaces - day pass plus breakfasts/meetups; plenty in Poblado and Laureles.
- Salsa / bachata / sports - a regular class beats a one-off “networking mixer.” Sports.
- Not only the expat bubble - locals appreciate an attempt at Spanish; living only in an English-speaking circle limits daily life.
Dating 18+
